Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre

Rain or shine, head over to the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre to brush up on your knowledge, or educate yourself about the history and culture that makes Yellowknife what it is. With many exhibits that show both historical aspect and incredible First Nation artists, you’ll be thoroughly intrigued your entire visit. Not only are there exhibits, but the Centre does have many daily activities for children and people of all ages. Bush Pilot’s Monument

A small trek up the steps will take you to the Bush Pilot’s Monument to acknowledge all the pilots who helped develop Yellowknife into what it is today. While you’re there, take in the astonishing 360 panoramic view of Yellowknife. While you’re there, you’ll see the Great Slave Lake, the Dettah Ice Road and Old Town from the top.
